  1. Yes! Before you answer the question, go back and look at what it's asking you- some answer choices may be correct statements, BUT what exactly are they asking. They really don't try to trick you and that's where you have to just re-read the question and go with your gut. You can totally do this!!!!
  2. You just have to get out of your head. You need to go through questions and what you get wrong, you need to go back through and review it thoroughly. Don't psych yourself out. You'll be fine.
  3. I took it. Not bad at all. AACN has a practice test setup that you can do online. I would HIGHLY encourage you to do it. I did not do a review course. I did go through some sample test questions from FNP review books too (even though I did acute care certification). It was totally fine. You don't have to spend a fortune on a review course. Just do the sample questions given on AACN website and review books and study what you aren't very comfortable with. You'll be fine.
  4. Hey! Not sure if you still need info or not but I just took AACN AGACNP certification and passed today. Good grief-- it is SO much easier than these review course people make it out to be. I TOTALLY think that the review course developers and review book writers create hype just to sell their products-- I really do. It is a very straightforward exam. Know physical exam basics, EKG patterns for MI's, acid-base disturbances, major endocrine issues, and electrolyte abnormalities.
