When you graduate as an RN student from an AD program, why do they call it an AA in applied science?

Here they don't. It's an Associates of Applied Science (AAS).
I can't come up with a reason they would give you an AA, since your concentration is in science not liberal arts.

Hi, thanks. I was wondering why they called it "applied science." I thought it meant ADN in nursing, like Bachelor degree in nursing.

The AAS (Associate in Applied Science) is a technical degree. Most community colleges see this as a terminal degree, one that leads to employment in a professional field.
Thanks, now it makes sense.
