Well I frequently admit to having a warped sense of humour, a warped sense of British humour at that, But I thought the webpage was meant as just a bit of fun,

p.s I used to have the link to a very similar page that was a guide to America for the English, I really wish I still had the URL,
:chuckle Well I thought it hilarious! What exactly IS offensive about it? We get stereo-typed by the American's all the time in their films and sitcoms, so why not play on that? If they think it's serious, that's their problem! :biggringi If we can't laugh at ourselves, then it's a sad world.
LOL...LOVE the brookview site!!!
i lived in lancaster for about 7 months in 1996, studied at the uni there. have been back to visit twice, and have decided that i think i was born in the wrong country, i was supposed to be british!
i'll be coming over there as soon as i finish nursing school, and get some experience...!!!
Having taken a couple of extended visits to the UK, I found the Brookview site hilarious. The author poked fun at Americans' notorious lack of knowledge of anything outside our borders. I wasn't offended at all. Having traveled extensively on the Tube, I loved the comment about the "off peak" times (of course, the times listed were rush hour, when the Underground transports an estimated six million passengers).
During my visits, I fell in love with the UK and her people, and I am making plans to spend 4-5 years there working in nursing. I have friends in the south coastal area of Wales, and found the Welsh in particular to be among the friendliest people I have met anywhere.

I now think It would be ethically wrong to try this on unsuspecting Americans, I don't have to time to write the proposal!
