A fond farewell

Published

Well tonight will be my final shift at my current job. This time certainly comes with mixed emotions. I am leaving a place where I have earned the respect of my coworkers, and I've been able to provide the standard of care I'd want if I were the patient. As most of you know, in today's business of healthcare, this is not something that happens nearly as often as it should. No job is perfect, but I truly am going to miss my coworkers and the patients I have had the honor of caring for. To my coworkers, I say: Thank each and every one of you for accepting me into this "family", helping me, and guiding me. It has been an honor, and maybe some day I will have the honor of working with you again. This job has certainly been a learning experience; and safe to say, each day a new adventure.

Now I am going to embark on a completely new adventure. I am going to a strange land with nothing but my clothes, computer (and Xbox:D ), and last but certainly not least, my love. I am so lucky to have someone in my life who loves me so much that she is willing to join me in this grand adventure. Please understand that in doing this she will be getting her first job as an RN, and she will be leaving her close knit family back in TX. To say the least, she is certainly sacrificing much to be with me. For this I am blessed. I don't know if she could ever know how appreciative I am of her. In finding the words to express my gratitude, all I can say is: Thank you Brandy. I love you with all my heart. :kiss These words are not enough; I pray my actions better express my gratitude.

So what awaits us on the other side of the Rockies--I have no idea. Am I excited to be starting this new quest--you betcha. Am I scared--absolutely. Am I ready--nope--can someone help me move my couch?:chuckle

Good luck in your new adventures. I hope everything is better than you can dream of. :)

We are in the process of packing and I have said this many many times in the last week out of pure frustration at the amount of CRAP we have accumulated!!!!!! LMAO
