How does your hospital handle staff who want to vote?
For this election I voted early using an absentee ballot. No driving to the poles, no waiting in line.

I've always thought that personal matters should be kept private.

When should you start looking into a job as a new grad?
Most hospitals have websites to check out. You can even look at job postings. With the job market for nurses the way it is I don't think you'll have a problem doing whatever you want.

Need Some Advise. Want to be an RN: late 30's AM I TOO LATE?
Your not too late. I graduated from nursing school at 32, but my study partner was 45. I'm sure you'll do fine with whatever you decide.

Are you required to use "in house " cell phones??
They can charge you for damage because it's not your property. We use these phones and I like them. No more being tied to a desk waiting for a physician to call back. The ones we use can be inserted into a holder that clips to the hip. I haven't broken one yet.

An RN changing meds without a doctors order?
If what you say is true I'd document it with copies to your facilities administration and your state board of nursing. Again, If what you say is true she's practicing medicine without a license and could hurt someone.

Changing recruiter
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Just tell them. Then disable the phone when you need to sleep.

Changing recruiter
I'd finish the contract and find a different company.
-
Changing recruiter
When you change recruiters you deal with the new one. You won't hear from the other recruiter anymore.
-
Changing recruiter
Call the company you work for and ask to speak to the supervisor or vice president over the recruiters and tell her/him your concerns and that you'd like another, more responsive, recruiter. I did this and received a call from my new recruiter in a matter of minutes. The competition for nurses in the travel industry is fierce.
