Hi there, I have worked for Nursesrx for a year and a half now. My recruiter is great. She finds positions that I want, and listens to any problems I may have. I think that travel nursing would give you the ebst opportunity to find the best hospital for you, instead of taking a permanent position that you may not like. At least you can sample different hospitals for 13 weeksat a time, and even sign on again for the assignment if you find the money and benefits better that being core staff for the hospital. Good luck.
  2. I see that you are possibly looking into Naugatuck Valley. I worked with a lot of nurses who graduated from there. They were great nurses.

  4. I have no idea how many times a recruiter is supposed to call. Talking to people it varies. All I can say is that since I called her superviser, she's called me everday to see how things are and to look for new positions.
  5. I have a book titled "Hitting the Road: A guide to Travel Nursing" and in the back of the book it has pages of travel companies for the US and overseas. If you can find it in your local bookstore, you might want to check it out.
  6. The supervisor of my recruiter stated that I should stay with my recruiter cause she has seniority and that she has a good reputation with her other travelers. Then she made a bunch of excuses why I haven't heard from her in 2 weeks. I stated again that I would like to change, and she again stated that she would have my recruiter call me today to work things out.
  7. I spoke with the superviser in charge of my recruiter. She suggest taht I stay with teh same recruiter. Is this normal? Should I continue to pursue this or look for another company? Thanks for any suggestions to follow.
  8. When asking to change recruiters, did it cause any conflicts with your old recruiter?
  9. I am having some difficulties with my recruiter. This is my first travel assignment and she has called only once. I've been at this assignment for a month now. When I do call she never calls back. PLus other issues that I have had with her. I was wondering how do you go about asking for a new recruiter. Thanks for any advice to follow.
