Hi Everybody,
I just finished my A+P 1 class with a C. I was hoping for a B, at least. I live in Jacksonville and am hoping to get into UNF's Nursing Program.
However, what do you guys think my chances are with a big fat C in Anatomy and Physiology 1 and a GPA of 3.6 (maybe I could bring my GPA up to a 3.7 or 3.5)?
Any imput is appreciated,
Missy:welcome:

If you are applying to a school that goes by a lotto and all you need is a C to qualify I would not worry. However, of you are apply to a school that goes by grades and GPA I would re-take it.

That really about said it. Do you know about your school's admission policy?
Around here (Texas) if you don't have an A in A&P, you pretty much won't get in.
Good luck!

I also received a C in anatomy. I was pledging a sorority that semester. I was accepted and graduate this Friday.

It really varies by school and their admission policy. Here, admission is strictly GPA based, but the university accepts 48 students each fall and spring. I heard the low end of the GPA range for fall admission was a 3.5. That leaves some wiggle room for a random C or two, but not much.

At my schol they look at your A&P grades and your micro and they give you points for whatever grade you get (A=50, B=40, C=30....just as an example) therefore the higher grade you have the more points and the more points you have the better. there are other factors which come into play also lik you NET scores and you GPA but you get points for everything. Then they line it up and the first 180 students with the highest amount of points get in. Luckily i had enough and I start this fall!!!
