I wanted to let everyone know that I spoke with an advisor this morning from Excelsior College and he told me that A&P 1 and 2 would be accepted from Straighterline, to fullfill the requirement for LPN to RN. A lab is NOT needed. After reading some other posts I called back to ask if a lab portion was needed if an RN was going to go on for a BSN through Excelsior, the answer i got was no, it is not required for either. I personally am going to go this route, after much research it seems that there is a high sucess rate and might be easier than trying to test out of a large exam covering so much material at one time. This is an ACE approved exam, so you need to be done by OCT.1, 2012 for it to not count toward your 7 accepatable ACE exams.

what do you mean by 7 acceptable ace exams? Excelsior only accepts 7 of them?

thanks,

Kathy

After Oct 1,2012 Excelsior will only allow 7 ACE credits. Clep and Dantes will not be affected. This is my understanding. I recently filled out admission paperwork for Excelsior. They sent me a letter with my transcript review, in that letter was that change and that after Oct.1 Transitions will no longer be able to be done prior to enrollment. So, if you get Health Safety and Transitions done before Oct.1 you will be fine.

It will only affect you if you have gen eds left to do.

I am just starting out with the EC program. I have my first test tomorrow at 3! I am nervous, but excited to finally have the courage to at least try!! I will let everyone know how it goes for me.

I wish I knew this before I paid for the EC exam! Ty for the update!
