A&P PLEEEASE help!!!

Published

ok so I've started my fast paced (8 week) A&P 1 course - with no background in chemistry or biology. We're using Marieb's book and the first chapter was very understandable to me, but chapter 3 is SUPER confusing. I don't know anything about cells, and it's really going over my head. I have GOT to do well in this course, and would love any advice, links, anything really that would help me master or even begin to understand this chapter. Looking through the book it doesn't appear to be as bad (for me) as this chapter. I've never been good with cells. Our test is this Friday and I would really love any help you can offer me - somehow, someway I've got to figure this out before Friday.

We are also testing on chapter 1 the same day, but like I mentioned I get that chapter. I loved lab, and feel I'll do well on the lab quiz for chapter 1 as well.

Chapter 3 is making me panic!

Thanks!!!

I believe a member, Polka-Dot, was using the same book as you and she has posted her notes on this site

You can go to that link and she has posted notes for a lot of the chapters. A lot of people on the forum seem to find them very useful :)

We're using the same book. For that chapter I made lots of flash cards. I learn by repetition so it really helped. Ask yourself questions that might be on the test. Ask yourself questions about processes (protein synthesis, mitosis, ect.), Study a lot!! Join a study group or ask a friend to quiz you.

I just realized this post began in January. Hope you did great on your test!!

do they separate the class? like you get a grade for lecture and lab?

all my sciences combine everything. like anatomy lecture is 67% and lab is 33% so it all together is your grade

Yes, my school separates the grades. So I made an A and an A....I know some ppl made C and B. So they are different.
