A&P 2 online suggestions needed... Anyone take it w/Darton?

I need A&P 2 this summer and my CC isn't offering it. I checked all the college's within two hours from me and their classes are already full. I am exploring online options now, my biggest hurdle so far is getting a class that finishes by Aug 1st so I can get my transcripts by Aug 14th... Aug 14th is the due date for nursing program application! If anyone has take it online, I would appreciate any suggestions you could give as far a institution and instructors..I know we can't reply with names but you can put initials or PM them to me.

Darton CC is leading the way so far anyone take there and have instructor suggestions?

THANKS EVERYONE!! :)

I don't really have any suggestions for you other then to perhaps get on a wait-list for your CC this summer. I would be concerned about taking taking A&P online.. does it have a lab associated with it? Pretty much every school I've ever looked at requires A&P to be taken with a lab, and I've never seen one of these offered online.

I haven't taken A&P 2 yet but my school does offer it online with a lab that you do at home. I am just about to finish A&P 1 online. The class this summer will be over I think the 3rd week of July so check it out.

Ugh, I can see a lecture online with podcasts and videos of lectures, but I would not want anyone working on me that had online labs......just my humble opinion

Please respect my educational decisions, I am not asking for opinions about online classes. :)

I have no problem whatsoever with online classes, I took a few of my pre-reqs online and thought they were great. I'm just concerned that you may take a science class online and find out you can't even use it. I would just double check before enrolling in any that the schools you are applying to will accept it! Good luck :)

Thanks for the heads-up. Yes,I have checked and Dbl checked, lol! I have found that as long as the school is accredited and you have a lab with it you are okay, your transcript won't even show that you took it online.

I work at a level one trauma center in a somewhat major city and many nurses in my hospital did the nursing program that I am going to apply to....which offers many online classes. They are very knowledgeable and successful nurses.

Just finished A & P II with Edukan this week......Instructor CP....pretty good class, final chapter exam is proctored. There are 2 disection labs to do at home as well as Adam software labs. I took AP I with them too and enjoyed AP 2 much more. Looks like my final grade is a B in the class, got a B in the first one also with not a whole lot of effort. Cost is 500 tuition, +book and software.

If you can't find a specific class maybe you could test out with the excelsior exam? (If your program would accept that) I found out 2 months before I started that I needed to take A & P prior to starting my nursing program (since I'm technically a transfer student in a BSN program.. although I already have a bachelor's) and I took that test (I taught myself A & P I and II and then tested out.. in 2 months.. lol) and it counted. But for you it might be a lot easier since you've already taken half the material. Might be a nice option if the school(s?) accept it. GL!
