A&P 1, microbio, & psychology

OR... A&P 1, chemistry 1, & psychology?

I am wondering is it do-able with a very part time job (self-employed)? I wasn't that sharp in high school with sciences but that's because I was incredibly irresponsible at the time, on top of having mediocre teachers.

Trying to figure out how I should pair what I have left because I'm done with all my other general education courses. I have the sciences left and I want to maintain a full-time school schedule.

Your opinions?

Thanks in advance!!

I would not do A&P with Chem. That's pretty much four classes right there because of labs. I'd jump from the roof. Chem took a lot of time for me and A&P even more so. Are those the only classes you have left? If you had another class that is easier I'd do it with A&P. But if not, A&P with PSY. Although....PSY can be a lot of reading.

Good luck!

Microbio also has a lab. The thing is I need to finish these classes by the end of next year, so that leaves me with spring, summer, and fall... I don't think taking sciences in the summer is a hot idea unless the school I'm attending has one full summer term instead of a, b, c, etc. which I will be finding out tomorrow. But I'm pretty sure summer terms are mini terms. :-/

Oh man! You are left with the crappy classes. I finished up Micro during spring term. That class was no walk in the park. I was greatful with leaving with a B on that one. At my school summer term is 8 weeks, even taking my sign language class during that peroid of time was stressful. I really hope that your school does have a full term during the summer, because loading up any of those two science classes you mentioned would make for a very stressful no sleep kind of term. But hey, sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do. I've known of people who were able to load up on classes like that and come up on top. For me though, it becomes way too stressful and I end up failing. That happened to me in 2006...it still makes me depressed to this day when I look at my trascripits and I see that F in A&P. I of course went back and retook it...but still.

Do what you feel that you can do while still leaving you enough time to study everything and pass. I wish you the best of luck with everything.

I would recommend Chem first. You'll use the Chem basics in Physiology & Microbiology. Not sure if your school has Pharmacology as a pre-req (ours does), but you'll be happy you took Chem before Pharm!

Chem is a pre-req at my school. I am in A&P now and having a solid chem background is REALLY helpful. So I'd do chem first.

Thanks all for the recommendations... Chem isn't actually a pre-req at my school for some reason, but it is for a few others. Regardless of where I apply I'll eventually need it when getting a bachelors and if I can get it out of the way now, it would be a blessing.

I'll probably do A&P 1 and chem this round, see how the summer terms go at my school so that hopefully I'll be able to do microbio and psychology during then... And then a&p 2 and two extra common elective classes spring.

I'm taking chem, bio, and soc (prereq for my school's BSN program), along with working 15-20 hrs a week. I'm pretty nervous, but might end up dropping something!

I guess it depends on what you're good at, but as long as you can write well, social science classes are generally much less time consuming than the sciences.

You can always take soc online. Taking the general eds online was such a breeze! I wouldn't do that for science though. :S I'm pretty nervous. Its been like 7 years since high school. I don't remember a thing!

Hi

Im currently enrolled in A&P algebra french (which I already know) and i wanted to know if you guys think i would be ok for me to tack on anthropology 1. Im in a two year school and getting ready to go into preclinical do you think i would be too much to load up on credits they would add up to 15 counting the algebra that i get no point for because it a remedial... help

I took all my A&P this summer. I don't no but for me I found it better to take it at summer. It will be the only class you would focus on. Since micro is a lot harder supposedly. I would take it on a regular semester. That's what I'm doing. I had no choice since I'm graduating December. I'm starting microbiology Monday. Even if i boom 2 test I can still make it up. Since most teachers have more than 4 test on a regular semester. But relax its really not that hard. Just study and do your labs, you will be good to go.

yeh but do you think the classes i mentioned are too much
