Hello eveyone, has anyone taken A&P II

Oh, please - don't let WannaBeMaleRN scare you. I have a 4.0 in both A&P I and II, and I got it partly by not letting people scare the crap out of me.

You most certainly can make cards for II. I made them based on the important highlights from the professor's lectures, and also included vocabulary that I found difficult. I flipped through these at every opportunity; the stack was not unwieldy because I only carried around my current chapters.

I also searched the Web for helpful things - there is an entire website at

http://pos.psdr3.org/science/anatomy/cardiovascular.html that I used for my cardiovascular unit. (Learn the words to the St. Joe's commercial - it was VERY helpful for me!) Also, there are resources on http://www.studystack.com; you can view stacks of "virtual notecards" made by other students on tons and tons of topics and I believe you can make your own as well on the site.

Good luck; you will be fine - after all - look at how many of US have passed and passed with an outstanding grade. You will do great, I just know it! :p

ITA, and also, Ive always had success with making flash cards from my notes as a way to memorize them and it works well. Sometimes Im too lazy to make them though, so I just read my notes over and over the day before the test. I still have procrastination habits from LPN school...lol. In LPN school we had so many tests it became my routine to MAYBE study a hour or two the night before (Id usually be wiped out from school all day and sometimes work after that) and then the morning of an exam Id always wake up by 4 am and study straight thru. Doesnt work for everyone but it works for me, believe it or not I graduated at the top of my class.

A&P seems to be mainly memorization so if u are good at that, u usually have success in it. I do find it funny that I used to hate A&P before LPN school (I took the first one before LPN school) and now that Im gonna get my RN and am finishing up my pre reqs, I am in A&P too and actually find it interesting. Funny how things change. I never thought Id see the day where I actually thought seeing the parts of a cow eyeball or sheep brain was cool. lol
