A&P II Club! Come on in!

Who all is taking A&P 2 ? Is there going to be a club?:idea:

That is awsome!!! Way to go. Dont you just love the new smiley in the coffee mug? I love coffee, and the stronger, the better.

Couldn't live without it! I love Starbucks and go there often to study....I'll have a non fat latte. It may sounds "spoiled" because their coffee isn't cheap but I can't always study good at home...dogs barking, telephone ringing, people knocking on the door, kid/husband drama etc....sometimes I just have to get away.

You like expresso?....have you tried Starbucks doubleshot in the small cans? Hhhhhmmmm delicious!!!!!

Just regular coffee for me. I have to go to Dallas for Starbucks, but we do have some descent coffee shops here. I can see where going to Starbucks would be a good place to study, unless there is too much noise going on there.

It's really weird but I don't mind noise as long as it doesn't come from my family :chuckle Our Starbucks has a nice patio....I love to sit outside, reminds me of Europe. One of the managers is German also, we get to chat in our native language some....

My husband came home this afternoon, he stopped and got a snowglobe for the front yard, a penguin and a snowman...my son had been asking for one. I am getting excited about the holidays because my oldest will come to visit on the 25th December.

That's funny. I can usually study better at school because here at home, I am always thinking of things I need to do. The only draw back to that, is there is always someone coming up and talking if I am at school. :confused:

That's the way I always look at things. I have done good enough that I could make a really low grade on both of my finals and still pull an A, but how would that look to my instructor, or anyone else who might look at my grades? I would not feel so good about myself either.

Even though i got in i would feel terrible if i stopped trying, im gunna keep on goin!

I need to list all the specific substances that are filtered secreted and reabsorbed in the nephron during urine formation. I want to have a complete list so I thought I ask all the Ap2 students so I can make sure I did not miss any. TIA Lisa

Why don't you tell us what you came up with so that we could add whatever necessary....nephron function is very complicated and envolved different things are secreted and absorbed at different places....I have huge tables in my book talking about it...it would take days to put it all up here ;)

BAsically water , salt and potassium leave or are reabsorbed according to demand...too much of any of these and it will be transported out. Not enough and they will be retained.

All the big ions are not able to make it through the holes in the capillaries, example proteins.

Ok this is what I have so far. These substances are filtered in the glomerulus water, sodium,glucose,chloride,potassium,phosphate,urea,uric acid,creatin,small hormones such as steroids,calcium, hco. thanks Lisa
