A&P I and Microbiology at the same time?

Published

I am having an idea of taking A&PI and Microbiology in this Spring 2013 semester. But don't have an idea how difficult it would be to handle both. The professors are pretty good for both the subject. Please advice.

woww are you a super human? I would not recommend taking those two classes at the same time, that is just asking for trouble.

I did it. Got B's in both plus worked part time. Hard work pays off go for it

I did it as well my first semeater, had a "B+" in micro and a "B" in AP1. I just made a "C-" in AP2 though and I currently have a appeal in because my grandfather was diagnosed with COPD and I helped him so hopefully I can continue in nursing school while retaking AP2. Prayers for me please

How is it asking for trouble?

To the OP, I say go for it. You'll find many recent threads on this forum of other members doing A&P I and Micro successfully, many pulling off straight A's in both while taking other classes as well. I've taken Micro and A&P I in the past with other classes, and did great in both. It just takes hard work and determination.

I'm taking A&P I and Micro this spring semester (as my science credits wouldn't transfer to the school I'm at now), and I'm taking it with English Comp II, Developmental Psych, College Algebra, and Biomedical Ethics.

Yes, it can be done. Just put your mind to it, study hard and stay dedicated. Good luck!

Yeah, no... Don't do it!

A&P should be easy, but Micro is going to kick your butt. I barely passed Chem and everyone is telling me Micro is just as hard, if not harder.

We'll see... I start Micro tomorrow! lol

I'm taking both this semester plus a math class and 2 humanities classes. If you're only taking 2 classes, you should be fine.

Chemistry is a different animal from Micro and hard is subjective.

It's just very difficult to say if you'll have trouble taking both. It depends on what kind of student and learner you are and how you've done with science classes in the past. I took Micro, Physical Chemistry, Calculus and an elective in one semester and did fine.

I'll be taking Micro with Physiology in the fall, I don't think it will be a big deal since I'm only taking those two classes... Work hard and study a lot and you'll be fine!

Thanks Everyone. These comments from you really gave me clear assessment. If I take both the subject, it may need more time for studies.I have a baby and hope can't spent much time in this semester. So decided to take Micro only.
