A&P I Lab Practical

Published

Hello Everyone!

Today I took my first A&P Lab Practical I was so unbelievably stressed out! I just got my grade back and I got a 74, I am disappointed because I am better than that but I guess I blanked and didn't study the bones enough. I nailed everything as far as the tissues and bones but when it came to the processes and notches and this and that on bones I blanked. My lab only has 2 practicals worth 35% each, 1 lab report, Mastering A&P quizzes worth 10%, and the drawings worth 10% as well. Do I have a shot at this class or should I consider retaking it? I am stressed knowing that I can't score below a B. I realized I need to change my study habits and breaking up the material more rather than trying to learn a big chunk in one setting. Any advice?

I'm not sure how much your lab grade is of your overall A&P grade, but I didn't do very well on my midterm or final of lab and I still passed the class. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it yet. Just kill it in lecture and you will be good. Good luck!

Lab practicals are hit and miss, I didn't do very well on my very first lab practical in AP1, but knew what to expect for the 2nd one. Also open lab helped a lot, as well as mastering, plus there are certain sites I used specifically for filling in the blank where it would point to a certain notch, or process etc..

You may need to figure out some study techniques that work better for you. I'll be honest - I think it only gets harder after bones.
