I was just wondering for those of you who are taking A&P I this semester, how are things going so far??

Excellent so far, but that could change since things coming pretty quick now. Auditing Biology, a 'suggested' pre-req for pre-nursing program REALLY helped though. Good teacher before and now, and my A&P I instructor is interested in helpling students learn.
Hope things are going ok with you. If I hadn't had the biology this summer, which was a real load in 5 weeks, I'd be feeling like someone hit me over the head with a bag full of nickels. But our first 3 chapters up to now was our whole last biology semester, so things will start to venture into the unknown now
Good luck and use technology to help you: and plan, plan, plan

a&p i is going great so far! all due to alot of hard work, dedication and a great teacher! it's a very challenging class, but if you stay ahead, study and really take the time to learn it you'll do just fine! we just had a lab practical on all 206 bones and their indentations that was pretty challenging but i ended up with a 98! this class is really just more time consuming than anything, i spend about every day reading and studying! let me know if you have anymore questions!!
I would suggest talking with your instructor rather than web-ghosts. Drop date for audit has passed, but drop date has not. Keep all your options open, and remember that there is no 'one-way' to do anything. And nothing is ever wasted, its just different and the way it was meant to be for some reason we cannot comprehend (or I can't anyway)

So far so good! We'll be studying the muscles this week, so the class is going to be more challenging.

It is soooo hard. I never realized how difficult learning about bones and muscles could be. Anyway, I will get through this. My first test was really bad, but the next one was ok. Each one will hopefully get better. Anyone going to Valley College?
Well I guess I should answer my own question, huh? :wink2:
So far so good, but I minored in biology in college so if I were not doing well that would be a poor reflection on my university's biology department!
We just got back the first test--96. And 100s on all my labs...the next test should be a sinch as well. I'm dreading bones---mainly because they bore me --so that one might wrench me up a bit.
Best of luck to everyone!! Glad to see everyone is doing well so far!!

Not bad, so far. Just alot of reading, and alot to remember. I'm doing good gradewise (so far), and am also taking microbiology and nutrition. I just have to study every day, and try to keep a little bit ahead of the lecture in class.

Just so much to remember other than that it's been going pretty good.
I thing I would suggest is picking up a cheap Essentials Of A&P Book. This is what's been helping me.

So far so good, depsite a really bad lecture professor. I've studied my butt off and managed to get a 90 on our first quiz and a 96 on our first test. We have our first lab test next week and I think that one will be far harder for me. I feel so much better after having our first test in lecture and acing it. When I started studying I was just sick w/ worry because the prof didn't really cover much and I didn't even know what to study (instead of just going through the book he jumped around to a lot of different chapters and only covered sections of them). Now that I know I actually CAN do this i'm feeling a lot better!
Just took my 1st test today. I wont have the results until next week. I hope I did ok. I'll keep everyone posted
Alright so the instructor was nice enough grade our test early. Turn's out I got a B on it.
