My instructor gave us a kind of fun assignment the other day ...he wanted to see if any of us could come up with a nmoniic device for the 12 cranial nerves....because we have to learn all 12 in oder and there function....any thoughts from any one ...

the letters for the 12 are O O O T T A F V G V S H ....THANKS ....:D

WE had to learn them just resently.. This is what are teacher said and it has stuck in my Mind since.

And the Nerves are

1. Olfactory

2. Optic

3. Oculomotor

4. Trochlear

5. Trigeminal or trifacial

6. abducens

7. facial

8. acoustic

9. Glossopharyngeal

10. Vagus

11. Spinal Accessory

12. Hypoglossal..

the way I remembered the functions was

1. the smell of a olfactory

2. same as nerve vision.

3. eye motor what does a motor do makes soemthing move.

4. Trochlear didn't have any thing for that just memorized it 5.trigeminal trident chewing gum chewing movemtn

6. abducens outward movment movement of eye

7. Facial just like it say's that's where it goes.

8. Acoustic hearing

9. glossopharyngeal just take it apart and that's how I remeber what this does.

10. Vagus remember Singing in VEgas

11. Memorized spinal accessory

12. also memorized hypoglossal.
