A&P 1 and 2 combined

Published

Hi all. Just checking to see if anyone else has A&P 1 and 2 combined into 1 semester. I have yet to run into another school doing this. In the fall the school is changing it back into 2 different classes.

We're using "Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology" 8th addition, another book with the same title 3rd addition laboratory manual, 2 photographic atlases, an disk for online stuff and a coloring book.

That's the same book we are using. Our A&P is crammed into one semester as well. Our professor said that its too much to learn all at nce, but the school just wants to stick with the one course. Oh well.... Hopefully it won't be too much to handle!!

I took A&P as a combined course when I was planning to go the medical assistant route, only to find out later that it wouldn't transfer any where. Some places are accepting it as the anatomy credit though. Unfortunately, the community college where I'm taking prereq's won't let me take physiology without first having anatomy so the whole A&P class was a waste. Be careful taking it if it's a combined class!

I plan on taking both next semester. Each one is 8 weeks accelerated. I figure I'll take Intro to Psych (easy class) for a total of 12 credits. I actually think it's a bonus to take both in one semester. I find it easier to focus on just two classes with a heavy work load rather than spreading myself thin on 4-5 different courses. That's me.
