enuf_already that is why I emailed my TA as someone else told me they got docked 8 points for not having references for the websites used in the statistical part of the paper. All these TA's are different I have learned.

Smart you are there Woodsy;-). I had other friends in other sections who received full credit and I got dinged. I took this class with research and did better in research. The TA totally blew my confidence--although I did well in the class. I spent way too much time trying to second guess and perfect assignments and still got dinged. Good luck.

That is why I emailed my TA as I didn't want any points taken off. My last TA blew my confidence big time, but I caught a lot of mistakes she made and called her on it and got the points back. Really upset me. I have now learned to "ask" and save all emails :yes:

Hey guys I also just started Ohio U. Feeling overwheled :( but I made it through thr first week. I guess that counts

I just completed the program and found the typical pattern with me was:

Week 1: A little overwhelmed and nervous trying to get a feel for the class and how the TA grades

Week 2: Still trying to figure out TA and adjust assignments accordingly.

Week 3: Hump week. Assignment this week is usually more intense but knowing I'm halfway there makes it better. I've usually figured out the TA and just want to get the assignment done

Week 4: Tired, losing steam, just want the class to be over. Many classes feel like we are reliving the same information over and over.

Week 5: Mustering up enough energy to finish the week and get everything submitted while watching for the next class to be posted so I don't get behind.

I worked full time during the program, have a family, and am a "mature" nurse. You learn to prioritize and juggle a lot during this program. Trying to stay ahead can help with feeling overwhelmed by last minute problems. As a general rule, I NEVER submitted assignments early in the week because professors changed requirements, unclear directions were clarified with totally different directions, etc.

Anyone heard anything about the quiz? I'm confused I thought there were no exams in the class. The syllabus says test on chapter 6 and 7. Ugh...onto week 2. sigh.

Yeah test for week 2. You need to use the respondus lockdown drosera for it.

I think they are giving a quiz now and did away with the Windshield survey paper. Haven't taken a test in a LONG time............but I guess better than doing a paper. I don't think this class is too bad for 4 credits and not a lot of papers, just DB posts.

Did you guys see they gave us an extension on the community stats assignments and DB responses? They're not due till Monday night at midnight! I'm really digging this class so far, and I'm not even talking about the extension (although yay for them deciding to be fair about it). This is the direction I suspect my career will take me eventually =)

And woodsyny.....we're taking the same courses this semester!

You guys dont have to do the windshield survey assignment?!!! No fair. That was absolutely the most tedious, redundant, and worthless assignment ever. I spent hours on that stupid thing.

I even got a $60 speeding ticket, going 30 in a 25 because I was trying to look at everything on the sidewalks instead of paying attention to driving.

You guys are so lucky!

cincinursemary I really don't think this course is bad at all. Not a whole lot of papers, in fact I think just one along with the statistical data paper, a quiz, and the rest DB posts. I know I was so looking forward to the windshield survey! ShantheRN I have 4520 next which I heard is a lot of work and 4530 after that. Then the 3 hardest classes for last, 4550, 4580, and 4600!
