Have you asked the NY BON the reason for the delay? Is it related to your NCLEX pass letter? If your file lapsed with the BON that has record of your NCLEX or if it has been years since you renewed and the BON requires applicants to re-write the NCLEX after 8 years without renewing, you may need to apply for license by examination.

hi thanks for the reply, before i filed my papers, i make sure to get all the info. the nclex pass letter doesnt expire, only if u want to apply in california u need to file another application but u dont need to rewrite the exam, also i think ive read also in CA BON those who pass nclex after 1982, u dont need to tke it again, CABON knows that the reason of delays is retrogression. I think what you understood about after 8 yrs are those who already have an a CA license but did not renewed.
