WiRN license transfer to what states??

My spouse may need to relocate for his job. Does anyone know of a link that tells you what states a Wisconsin RN license can transfer to? or how I start the process of transferring, can it be done online?

just check with the nursing board and see if they have compact agreements with other states...like NC has reciprocal licensure, etc...with Wisconsin, etc.

There are numerous threads here on this topic that you could search. All 50 states practice reciprocity since the NCLEX became standardized throughout the country -- that means that once you are licensed in one state, you can apply for a license in any other state and, assuming you have a clean legal/disciplinary record, it will automatically be issued to you. The only thing that varies from state to state is how much the "new" BON charges for the license and how long they take to do background checks and issue the new license.

Some states issue a temporary permit quickly, so that you can work while you are waiting on the permanent license.

The WI BON website should have enough info for you to get started with the application process -- and the sooner you start (once you know for sure that you're moving to WI, that is), the better. :)

Does anyone out there have an idea how I go about transferring my active LPN licensure from FL to TN? Any direction will be greatly appreciated!

Licenses are never transferred, they are endorsed. You will continue to hold a license in the original state, as long as you continue to pay or it when it is time to be renewed.

Just contact the BON of the new state, and follow the procedure that they have for "License by Endorsement."
