WGU MSN in 6 months

Is it possible to do the MSN educator program in one term 6 months? In a way that's 2 quarters, so it would be 15 units per quarter. If the student is able to handle all the load, is it possible to do in terms of prerequisites of the MSN classes-- are some classes REQUIRED to be taken before taking the next class? I understand that some classes SHOULD be taken before another class, but I want to know if it's possible to take them all at once?

Unless all you have to do in life is do schoolwork every day, I don't think it's possible to complete the entire program in 7 months. I"ve now been going for 6 months and it is time consuming. I have a life and I work a full time job- I don't know how anyone can complete these classes in that amount of time unless you have no life, no family, no job etc.

Leadership- And yes... being online, you have the luxury of studying when you want/can yet a lot of the material you need to research. ie. Biochemistry. And being online, the explanations of what to do are a little vague. I"ve just found it takes a good bit of time. For example, I spent about 4.5 hrs yesterday researching demographics for my county for Task 1 of community with only the first paragraph completed. It's not difficult really, just time consuming. And I recommend you purchase PERRLA to help with your APA formatting if you aren't a pro at it.

Thank you for your reply. How was biochemistry? And most of the tasks are papers correct? So very few test with the proctor? I am doing the RN to MSN in Education. I work part time and wanted to do this full time. Just to get done quicker. I am hoping for 6 mos but the cards will fall where they fall lol.

biochemistry wasn't horrible. it's not papers really, it's a combination of written assignments and diagram/model building that all have to be cited APA. no exam in that class.

Ok great and how was statistics. Those two classes are worrying me. Did you choose you classes you wanted to take or did the mentor tell

you what classes to take?

statistics was a B!^#. I knew it would be because i just have a difficult time grasping math concepts. Plus trying to do it on your own. There's lots of videos. good luck with that. My mentor chooses my classes and so far she hasn't steered me wrong. however she does ask for my input and allows me voice my opinion and I'm sure if I spoke up about one I waned to take she'd let me as long as it wasn't one that is important to take in consecutive order.

Oh boy I hate statistics as well dam that sucks. But it is what it is I hate they have a five year limit on it I already took it now doing it again ugh... That's great she allows input. Thank you so much for your help I do appreciate it. Hope your term is a successful one.

My first term was- finished a bit early so taking a break until July 1- however already working on Community. Good luck with everything.

Can someone tell me what is required in the Fieldwork in the MSN program in education? Do you have to do this at your place of employment or can you reach out into the community to complete the requirement? do you have to work with an MSN for this fieldwork?

I did the BSN program in 4 months and it took me ALL full six months to do my MSN but it was doable. I am married and have three children. I am very lucky that my manager did let me on my courses while I worked. I was in the NICU so once my first rounds were done. I would cram at least 4 hours in a 12 hour shift. I am now looking at FNP schools and to be honest I really do not know if I can do the course work. was so straight forward and as long as you addressed the graders issue with your paper, you pass. I feel like I didn't get as much as I should have. Plus, I don't have the 3 P's as other call them. I guess I could start there and see how I do. Good luck!!!
