Stupid question alert

Nursing Students Western Governors

Hey AN members :)

Yes, dumb question about to come your way. As a new nurse that graduated not too long ago, do you think the ATI pre-assessment for Community Health will be worth taking before checking out the course of study? I submitted both tasks for the performance assessment and only needed to revise one. Now, I wanted to get right into preparing for the objective assessment. I heard it was tough, but can't remember if the person was referring to the pre-assessment or the objective assessment.

Thanks guys!

I think it would be worth your time to take the PA in order to get a feel for the OA.

I mean taking the pre-assessment before even taking a peek at the course of study. Definitely before the objective assessment.

In that case, I'd review the course of study for a week before attempting to take the PA.

I got my BSN and MSN from , and only did the pre-assessments if it was a topic I did not feel comfortable with. As a general rule, I just went straight to the assessments. If I was confused by the assignments, I went back to the course to brush up. That was my favorite part of WGU- no need to bulls**t your way through x number of hours of classwork in order to pass the class. If you know the information, you can quickly pass the course and move on to the next one. I finished my BSN in 2 months. Finished all my MSN coursework except my capstone in maybe 4 months. (I have a looong background in health care, your mileage may vary!)
