Uw & Wsu Bsn Applicants 2009

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Hello,

I am a long time reader of the boards. I am applying to both UW and WSU (yakima campus) BSN program and am trying get feedback from past applicants on competitiveness of the matriculation process - tips on interviews or any other general information.

I look forward to your feedback!

~thanks.

Poly & Daisy keep your heads up. I know it hurts getting rejected. I've been there. I was rejected by about 3 schools and had to apply to UW twice to get in and now I graduate this year. Y'all can do it.

I'm so sorry Poly and Daisy....that's a bummer. I'm #6 on the wait list. Sigh. Ebostylin - what advice do you have to be successful in the program? Any tips? Do you know if people are usually chosen off the wait list? I also got into Seattle Univ. and am not sure what my next move will be...the drama!

Thanks, it is a bummer, but it happens. :) I bet you'll get in off the wait list.

As for me, I've taken every class I could possibly take, so I just get to wait around for a year and try again (and, of course, try improving my app). I'm actually really excited to have a year off school-- I've been a full time student and full-time employee for a loong time, so it will actually be really nice to have some time off!!

Poly.. I've looked up some older threads and every person I found who applied a second time had been accepted.. I think a break and more experience sounds like a great plan for school and for personal sanity!!

Hear hear.

If I don't get into any of the other programs I applied to, I will just hang out and wait, maybe try to volunteer in an ER or something.

congratulations just_cause :)

2bcurious, did you get accepted?

I'm surprised out of nearly 400 applicants and 96 acceptances we are the only few people posting comments about UW! In the letter I got it said to call after April 25th to see if your waitlist position has changed. I'll have to give a call 8 am on Monday the 27th and see how things stand... :lol2:
