  4. 'anyone heard about UW BSN notification by any chance?' I'm just going off the initial info on the admissions blog that people will know decision by 15 April... :)
  5. you can enter into the DNP program at the university of washington with no nursing experience - having a prior bachelors (non-nursing) and completing some basic pre-reqs. The more I look around the more variance I find in DNP entrance requirements, program objectives and outcomes.
  6. Congrats orangegirl and jeomoz! I remember being on the campus... and seeing the cherry trees.. it was awesome! Later i realized that Cisco gardens there... that explains it! I love that campus!
  7. I did.. WSU Spokane, PLU, TCC, and one out of state....
  8. .... really nobody has anything they can share on WSU tri-cities or Yakima campus extensions??
  9. Congrats twinkletoes!!!! Will that be your choice - or holding out for another school? ... i love their campus...btw
  10. Well.. the initial paperwork did say that.. BUT if you look at last years paperwork it said mid-April but on this forum people did gain their notification beginning 30 March... also I thought one set of paperwork said 20 April and elsewhere it said 15 April.. either way I'm waiting as patiently as I can muster. It is somewhat a relief to know there are others in the same boat as I seldom see any posts for UW, although I know it is of interest to many judging on the turn out at our essay Anyone have any new developments, thoughts, etc on their UW journey? best of luck, look forward to hearing from you.
  11. Twinkle, I don't think I said a 'B' was not a good grade. What do we gain as a profession, or as a school program, by not selecting the applicants who have completed their pre-reqs..which are a great indicator for future success.. to the best degree? What benefit is it to randomly pick those who meet the threshold? Is there a benefit? I think it devalues the program... it devalues gaining acceptance. I would be much happier to be rewarded with an admission based on my hard work and efforts to compete for the slot.. as this is how the real world will work, rather then randomly being selected or not being selected.
  12. O - that is sad.... I think the lottery aspect cheapens the extra work that motivates students to do well in order to increase their chances of acceptance... how upset would I be knowing it was random chance that got me in or didn't get me in after meeting their minimum threshold. I wonder why? Ease on admissions staff? Perhaps they feel that students with a B or better have the same outcome in their program and don't feel its worth the hassle.. but from the student perspective.. what is the advantage if you perform well? How does this translate to the job place? Meet the threshold - no winners, no losers... this is a poor decision for admission process IMHO it stinks :)
  13. I'm really surprised at the small amount of UW interest on this forum.... it is quite low - especially since there is much more activity on threads at shoreline, tacoma cc.. etc How come not more UW interest?
