Best Washington City

U.S.A. Washington

:uhoh3: where is the best washington city?:uhoh3:

how affordable is Sequim? It would seem high, seeing as it's one of the top growing retirement spots in WA State now. I loved it, but have a feeling I could not afford it.

I also love Port Townsend. but again, can't afford it.....

LOL, neither can I but I live here in PT & love it, it's the most beautiful place to me, esp North Beach

I know you'll probably think I'm nuts, but we live in Tacoma and I really grew fond of it. It has a beautiful North End at the Ocean (where we live) ...and it just has character... dark side and bright side... romantic and provincial, and gruff and urban... That makes it interesting. Lots of culture, lots to see, and, not to forget, several mid sized hospitals .... (eventhough I commute to Good Sam in Puyallup). Unfortunately, it looks like we'll be moving to South Prairie soon, though, since we own some property there and we want to build our house there... But I gues a tiny little town like S.P. has it's beauty...

Didn't Tacoma get voted one of the top places to raise a family recently?

I haven't found anywhere so far that wasn't gorgeous up here..but cost of living is a real factor isn't it. Cannot find anything decent for less than 200K unless its a manufactured home. Groceries and good much higher here than Texas. Property valus/taxes are unreal, so I doubt we can afford to buy land and keep it once we've retired. Guess we just started too late...LOL!. We will probably end up in a senior trailer park to save on expenses...LOL..but sightseeing trips will make that worthwhile.

The forests, mountains and water are so calming to me as well...love it here overall. :)

I live in bellingham...I think for me it is the best washington city. not too big, not too small, a lot of young people and events/music.

hi there was wondering if u could give me an idea of the job opportunities in bellingham. I am a RN with 9+ years in acute hospital setting experience. Could u give me an idea of the salary in ur area and job openings. Also what is the patient staff ratios and job satisfaction. I was also interested in the real estate property costs and cost of living. Thanks :o

Whatcom county is beautiful. Even more beautiful is Skagit County, and the city of Mount Vernon received the "Best Small Town to Live In" award.

Hello there i have been to mount vernon. Was wondering what the job market was like for a RN with 9+ years experience in acute hospital setting. What are the salaries and the patient staff ratios. thanks for ur reply :)

no..not Tacoma. It's been voted one of the most stressful cities in the USA. With good reason....traffic and crime are very bad here.

I came from OK to WA...I know what you mean about loving the water and mountains, both of which are lacking in TX and OK.

They are completely different. I live in the state of Washington on the west coast of USA. I did visit Washington DC for a vacation many years ago. I have heard that Washington DC on the east coast has a very high crime rate and that it is very expensive to live in Washington DC.Good luck
