:uhoh3: where is the best washington city?:uhoh3:

Oh, these places are beautiful but ugh! RAIN, RAIN, RAIN.....I about went nuts the year and a half I lived in Seattle. I vote for Spokane! A little on the conservative side, but MUCH better weather!

Above is a link to all the stats on a place you'd want to know. I was surprised by this... Seattle has 153 rainy days annually and 152 sunny days. This compared to the US average which is 112 rainy and 205 sunny days annually. I would have thought we had more rain here than that! Seriously, woulda thought it was more of a disparity. Now, keep in mind, not all those rainy days are RAIN RAIN RAIN, I think lots of them are just drizzle drizzle drizzle.

oK CHIMING IN.... I flippin' hate spokane. :) I lived there for 10 long years... and when I first arrived from KS (via growing up in San Diego) I thought...gee what a nice place w/pine trees etc. But let me tell ya... it aint' so great. PPl were not friendly.... ppl were uneducated ...etc. They were very unfriendly to a stranger from Ca basically... I finally got used to it after about 3 years... well then had to move to nursing school to central WA...and guess what I have hated every minute..but am finally getting used to the scenery..it's just too small. I am having a VERY hard time finding a day shift as a new grad...here in the pac nw. CA?? JUMPIN' for me. Yet I can't move yet and the jobs mostly start in Feb. No money to move. Been livin' in WA where they don't pay doodle. The starting wage for new RNs is bad. But..... regardless of where you live it seems to even out in any state wage versus cost... so far anyway. I applied for some jobs in spokane it was dismal for nursing...recently. Not many fulltime and not many jobs days at all. And they aren't friendly either. In fact you don't get so much as a no thank you. Apply in cali..they call you within 24 hours practically begging you to come in. Here in central wa....banging on doors all the time..follow up calls...2 weeks still no job. I have a second interview dame place, same mgr..for a possible PER DIEm shift...sigh. Hey I'll take what I can get here.

My point is it seems all of the pac nw is not a good place for beginning RNs. Not from what I can tell.

And yeah.... it's lovely over on the west side... I went there ONCE to olympia area...it was lovely that was 5 years ago. Would like to see more....I love the lush greenery but when I was a kid my parents visited someone in I think it was bellingham..and man it rained three weeks STRAIGHT in the summer. I was a miserable kid then let me tell ya!!! I cant imagine living in the rain that much....but oh...what lovely greenery!!! Too bad ya can't have sun and green at the same time!!!!

Right now..any day shift good job would be nice. But I'll never go back to spokane...never.I'm tired of that place and the snow.
