Are there any NVCC students here? Since I am attending ECPI for the MA program I thought maybe I should look into starting my Pre-requisites for the nursing program. I was wondering what kind of pre-requisites I will be asked to take? Also since I am taking 2 classes at ECPI Monday-Thursday and tuition is very expensive there I was wondering how much will it cost per class? 3 classes and working part-time will be hard but I'm willing to do whatever I can. I finally got a job as a nutrition aide at the local hospital, not the best pay but I cant keep a full time job and all the medical receptionist jobs I have found are full time! Are there any pre-requisite classes I can take online at NVCC? It would make it much easier for me. Thanks.

For NVCC I believe it is A&P 1 & 2, Human Growth & Development through the Lifespan, chemistry, psychology, ethics, and Microbiology. It is all listed on the NVCC nursing department website. Here is the link to the page...

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help, I remember what it was like to be where you are now. I'm getting ready to graduate from Marymount in Arlington, VA with an RN degree, if I can answer any questions I will be glad to help!

Hi! I just finished taking A/P I and II and Biomedical Ethics at NVCC, which are all pre-req's. I took all 3 classes online and it went just fine. Doing the classes online is great if you are working and need to plan out your time. I still have my materials/books if need any help. PM if I can help you at all.

Jen,
are you a current student at NVCC?
No, I'm at GMU now, but originally I was planning to go to NVCC so I took the pre-reqs. Happily, they all transferred with me.
