Hello REDROBIN8 & VAMEDIC07. I received one packet on yesterday in reference to financial aid & curriculum, that is all I received thus far beside my acceptance letter. I'll let you all know when I receive something else.

Just called and found out that orientation will be held around July/August and information will be sent out in regards to this. :anpom:

Thanks for the update. I received the financial aid packet today. I look foward to getting more information.

I have been accepted to Bon Secours Day program, and will be starting in September. Does anyone know the hours that the day program runs. Is it from 8am - 4pm?

It really depends on the classes you take. To my understanding it is not a 8-4 program. You have some classes at JSRCC and then the nursing classes at Bon Secours. If you look at your curriculum plan (if you have received that yet) it showes you what classes you need. For example in the fall semester the only class you take at Bon Secours is Nur 100. The others are JSRCC classes. Some people have some or all of there JSRCC so there curriculum will be different. Hope that helps. I look foward to working with you for the next 2 1/2 years!

Do any of yall know if we had to take chem because in the packet it say chem or bio102. So does that mean if you take bio 102 you don't have to take chem? I only have chem and micro left to take so i just wanted to make sure i had to take chem because I already took bio 102.

Honestly I don't know whether you have to take both or not. I have already taken all the core classes that I need, so I should not have any classes to take at JSRCC. However, I did take both chemestry and biology.

If you have high school chem, then you dont have to take chem. If you didnt have it with a grade c or better then you have to take it. But its chem 01, which makes up for high school class. Good luck....

Oh, you could not have got into the program with out high school chem so you should be good!!!

From my understanding, as far as prerequisites you need biology 101 & 102 and you can either substitute chem 111 for microbiology. So in other words you don't have to take chem 111 if you take microbiology and vice versa. Its either one or the other but as far as high school chemistry, that is needed before you can even apply. Hope this helps. :twocents:

EMJ1818 - I would confirm with Bon Secours to be on the safe side. I don't want to tell you anything wrong. That is just my understanding of what you have to take. :thnkg:

Thank you so much i called today and i dont have to take chem because i took bio 102 and i have chem from highschool. But i do have to take microbiology thank you so much... cant wait to meet everyone!

Is anyone planning on getting a laptop for classes?
