Getting ready to apply for Spring 2017. Good luck to everyone. Will be taking intro and upper elective during summer. Patho and Pharm during fall.

Does anybody know if working PRN for either JPS or Children's cook will be considered in our application. Or does it need to be full time?

Could you please add me [email protected]

I'll be taking Intro this summer too. And yes, PRN is a consideration at JPS and Cook's.

Are you taking pharma and patho during fall?

Are you taking pharma and patho during fall?

I took patho last fall and am currently taking pharm. I only need intro to finish my prereqs.

That's great! Where those really heavy?

Hi all! A little late to the game but Linda I would love to be added to the group my email is [email protected]! Hope everyone is finishing the semester strong? Anyone taking classes this summer?

I took patho at TWU...horrible teacher! I have heard great things about Urban and Hughes at UTA though. Yes, the material is heavy but doable. I suggest taking patho first because it will help you in pharm.

Hi everyone! I plan on applying by the end of May once the final grades are in. I'm a bite worried because my GPA is not what I would like it to be. Here are my stats.

Overall GPA: 3.36

Science GPA: 3.0

HESI: Passed

Partnered

No considerations

I'm really hoping that me being partnered will boost my chances. What are you all stats?

Depends what city are you applying for?

I'm applying for University of Texas at Arlington .

Yes but what CITY do you want to do your clinicals??? It makes a big difference in your chances...

Ohhhhhh I'm sorry !! I work at Parkland so hopefully I could do clinicsls there !

Well, Dallas has more available spots, but I saw many people both partnered and not with much higher GPA's not accepted to the program. It may help if you take the pre-requisites (Patho and Pharm) prior to applying and have them completed with high grades.
