OK, I've been looking, for over a month for a travel position. Have spoken w/lots of recruiters, been doing lots of research. My search was narrowed down to a few good "potentials". Well, funny, one by one, each position became something different....lower pay, different shift, different location, etc. Or just simply..."oh that position is no longer available". After doing reams of paperwork, being made promises, planning start dates, etc. Then the waiting....
So....., one recruiter had me submitted for a job in the desired location, and lo and behold, after weeks, that job "disappeared", but he offerred me another position in a totally different location. I wasn't crazy about it, but agreed to be submitted, figured I could interview and make my decision after speaking w/the NM.
Well, w/out ever talking/interviewing w/the NM recruiter told me I had been accepted for the position! I told him I had never even interviewed and we agred I would speak w/the NM. I tried calling her, left several messages, never heard a word back.
Meanwhile, have thought about it, and have gotten feedback from other traveller's and nurses from that area only to be told what a horrible, "take your life in your hands" area/hospital it is. Ultimately decided to not take this position. Notified recruiter....now he is trying to make me feel guilty....aaying that I am already committed, there are going to be cosequences if I don't show up! Really trying to pressure me into this!
No contract was ever signed, nor did I ever interview w/the NM!
What would you do? What do you think?
