Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

There are two sitting areas outside the auditorium. Maybe we could plan on meeting at the one across from the elevators. That way we would be out of the way. I think I am going to get there at 7:30.

Just heard back from B. It was a typo on the schedules. She is fixing it and she also said that she got the results from the drug screen and was just about to work on it. Yay!

Thanks Loly! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!

:yeah: Katie, you'll have Theory and Skills with me, studentcl, Loly and Val. How exciting!!

Ab, I do think the sitting area directly in front of the elevators would be the best place to meet. That way we're out of the way of anyone trying to register (there are tables directly in front of the entrance of the Energy Auditorium that I believe will be used for registration). So, as soon as you get off of the elevators, or take the stairs up to the 4th floor, you'll walk directly into the little sitting area (with the Admin desk being to your right, and the Energy Auditorium being to your left).

I'm really hoping that the TRE campus will be open the day of our Orientation, or that they'll at least take us for a guided tour. I always like to go to campus before my classes start each semester to spot the rooms I'll be in and help ease some of the first day anxiety.

i can't wait to meet everyone! it's nice to know some people already! :)

I agree, I hate having to search for classrooms on the first day of class. I like to be familiar with the building. Maybe if the fences come down on the 25th, we will be able to go inside and scope things out.

This Friday I get to shadow an RN all day. I hope I get to see several of the tasks we will be learning this semester.

I'm so jealous! I hope you have a ton of fun and learn lots of new things doing that.

So, you know how Grey's Anatomy scrub bottoms by Barco weren't quite in the word 'Teal' color?! Well, I got an email today from medicalscrubscollection.com saying they had new colors for Grey's Anatomy scrubs and Teal is one that they brought back in scrub pants!!! I'm super excited about this and ordered a pair, even though I already bought two other pairs. I was really bummed when they took it off the market so I'm excited now that it's back! Just thought I'd share.

I can't wait to meet everyone!... sooo close! :)

I am am so thankful I get to do this. My new boss is doing a "walk a mile in My Shoes" program. She thought I'd enjoy pairing up with an RN.

I've got the same schedule, too!

Our classes are available to see on Webadvisor again....But she still hasn't fixed the time for theory. It still says 10am-11:50pm

That's awesome! I can't believe how many of us were lucky enough to end up in classes together. It definitely helps knowing that we can continue to lean on each other and guide each other just like we have for the past year. :)
