NCTC ADN Fall 2014

U.S.A. Texas

I just wondering if there are others out there applying this May for the Fall 2014 class. I just found out I have everything to apply at NCTC but with a B in A&P I I only have 10 points and I'm not sure if I will make the cut. Anyone else?

Does anyone know how long orientation lasts, for childcare purposes?

In the past, orientation ran until about 1 pm and then the CPR class is immediately afterwards. So, plan to at least 1 pm and plan on 5 pm if you are taking the CPR class.

Thanks jls0459! What should we bring with us?

Hybrid transition students who are curious: I just heard the first in-person day, after the orientation on the 19th, is Monday, August 25 at 1pm - 4pm (healthcare assessment 310 section, orientation).

Does anyone know how current CPR needs to be mine I got in October 2012 and it expires this October I can renew thru work but didn't know if they would take that

It just needs to be renewed before it expires, so it is still good this month and next (until the expiration date).

Just make sure you have something to take notes with - like a pad and a pencil. You are going to get quite a bit of information on Monday!

You can wear normal clothes and just a heads up that EVERY instructor should be there so don't come in sweats or anything crazy! There will be a few current students there as well so you can see how we dress in class and clinical and ask questions and stuff. It will be a good time! I'm really excited for you guys!

Thank you jls0459!

There should also be a store set up for you guys to buy scrubs and extra for clinical. We will be there also to take you to the bookstore and talk to you about supplies and answer questions and such. I'm so excited!

Just to make sure jls..... Orientation is Tuesday right?

I know it wasn't addressed directly to me, but orientation is Tuesday the 19th at 9am. I just don't know exactly where...

I will be arriving early to get a new student ID. The last weekday I had off, I learned that I was unable to get my ID done because my name hadn't been changed with the bank associated with the school. I had to call them then email my proof of name change, since I last attended before I was married. That took about 24 hours, and I was unable to get back up to a campus ever since due to work. So in the off chance this situation applies to anyone else here, heads up!
