Hi Everyone :)

Just wanted to start a thread for everyone that's applied to the Navarro College ADN-RN program starting Fall 2012.

Figured we needed a place to post, ask each other questions etc. while waiting on our acceptance letters..... I was told they won't be sent out until the end of May. Has anyone else heard otherwise?

BAHAHA I am too!!!!!!! :p I've over 200 books and counting, with no room for the ones I have!!!!!!! xD Books are becoming a bit more sacred, now that these new ebooks and all this technology is coming out. :) I prefer books cuz they won't crash and lose all their information. ;)

Right!! I took some online classes at UOP and the text"books" were included in their tuition. Needless to say they were ebooks and I ended up buying the physical book because I couldn't stand reading the book on the computer. hahah I am not a fan of the ebook myself.

Tim- I have found ALL of the books off of the "list" on amazon. Priced at under 200 total, rather than the 620+ as noted on the "list" I will be getting all my books from amazon YAY!! Some of the ones I priced were used "in excellent condition" but I would rather save 400 than have a brand new book. ;)

It's so much harder paying attention and staying focused on a book that turns pages by a click -_- haha physical is in a way a "permanent" copy, one that you can go to no matter what...silly ebooks. hahaha The only thing good about ebooks is that they're supposedly cheaper (yet there's a lawsuit against companies selling them for price fixing).

THAT'S AWESOME!!!! :) :) :) :) Any way to save money is great, and the books will stay in excellent condition because they mean a lot to us as nursing students (we have to be nice to them). :D Sometimes I often wonder how there are relatively new books that are in shambles...like what was the person before me doing, throwing it at their ceiling fan?

Haha! Yall are too funny. I found a graduating student wanting to sell her books, but its not as cheap as the ones you found on Amazon, Red. They also used the 7th edition of Fundamentals and we're using the 8th. I'm soo excited and can't wait to get started! :)

I think any way to buy the cheapest books and get them quickly would be options I'd consider. :) So long as they are the right edition, of course.

I've all my shots accounted for (I love being immune, haha). Now just finish the pre-reqs (and the rest of the non-nursing courses), CPR, and TB test. :D

I've got one more Hep B and varicella. I'm taking art in a mini mester and I completely forgot abt the orientation class, so I'll do that during summer 1. Has anyone gotten their scrubs?

I haven't gotten the Red scrub tops....But I have other scrubs for lab days :)

adb14, are you taking art online during the minimester? I had Moore online and it was really easy. :)

I think I'll get some scrubs this weekend, I hope.

Yes, online! It's only 15 days, so I'm a lil nervous. Lol. I need to get some scrubs too. Have yall talked to ***** about registration? Doesn't it say we have to have it paid before orientation? Anyone know the amount?

Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE ***** for online art

Omg, I had her this semester and dropped it. Everyone kept telling me it was super easy, but her class wasn't. Haha! Hoping for an easier teacher next time.
