Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

I don't think it meant we had to get it by today i just think she meant because we are registered we can officially go and get it today on..just have to have it by summer courses i believe

I took the email as we had to get it today, but I could just be overly neurotic. :geek: In any case, I did get mine today.

Didn't realize that at NH we will need to wear our "uniform scrubs" to lab on campus in addition to at clinicals..at Montgomery, they can wear any scrubs to lab on campus..kind of a bummer!

Or you can take the glass is half full approach and think: You have the priviledge of wearing the uniform scrubs cause you got into the NH nursing program! :) Did I hear one of the faculty say at orientation that they had thousands of applicants?

Any recommendation for scrubs and pants? I went to Scrubs.etc. and there were too many kinds to choose lol.

I tried Grey's Anatomy's one, and it well fit to me. I also liked Koi's pants.

I would recommend Grey Anatomy scrubs, they are pretty pricey but in my opinion the best. They DO NOT fade nor wrinkle really, i have some i have had for 4 years and they look the same as my new ones, absolutely love them. Not sure about summer course, they did not mention that in the email.

I'm not sure, but I'm assuming so because it's a lab. Does anyone know for sure if we have to wear our uniforms for 1105?

Hi everyone!

I am having trouble finding a flu vaccine! It is the last thing on my checklist. It seems silly to get a flu vaccine between seasons, but apparently we must. Does anyone know where to find one? Possibly somewhere inexpensive that doesn't require an actual office visit.
