Lone Star Fall 2012 ADN Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I applied to Lone Star - ADN program Spring 2012. I was accepted as an alternate. I am hoping to get a call from the nursing department saying there is a spot for me. If not I will be reapplying for the next application period for entrance to the program in the Fall 2012. Good luck everyone!!!!

Still waiting here:bugeyes:! Hoping to get some kind of confirmation either way soon to put my mind at ease.

I know that I at least made it in to Tomball, but I still want my darn letters! I guess they will be coming with news of UTHSC acceptance or rejection, though I really don't think I made it. Hoping that this early start program I'm hearing so much about makes it easier to get a BSN done. Also wanted to comment on how much I love you all! I think it's wonderful that we're technically in competition with each other and yet everyone is being so supportive. All of you will make awesome nurses!

If you don't get a letter to Tomball pretty soon that's a good sign! That probably made it into NH, too! Or Cyfair. But I'm sure NH. :) Here's hoping for UT...did you interview there or are you waiting to hear about that part? I didn't even finish my application to UT or TWU...I was planning on just using Moco as a backup, but I realized I live way too far from the med center to sign myself up to drive there every day. If I was single and childless, maybe, but I think I'm better off taking a little longer in school in exchange for more convenience. Anyway, I'm sure you'll hear from NH next week and you'll have some good news to share, and good luck with UT! I was really happy to hear about the early acceptance program....before they had it at Lonestar I was really annoyed at the way the timing would have to work...there was no way to graduate, take the NCLEX and apply by the deadline for the next semester, but I didnt want to wait to finish. So yay!

I'm hoping it means I got into NH! Gas prices the way they are...if I had to go to Tomball, I'd have to see if they had a park and ride. UT didn't have interviews this application period, which kind of depressed me. My grades arent SUPER stellar like some of the other applicants, but I excell at interviews. Oh well! UT is pretty darn far from me as well, but I don't have offspring to contend with. It's got to be hard being a parent and a student, I can't even imagine! It's wonderful you got into Moco! Life just got a little bit easier and a little bit more challenging all at once. :D Congrats!!!

I fnally got my letter today for acceptance to Cyfair! :yeah:

congratulations all!!!!!!! Fellow North Harris applicants, be patient!!!! Our time will come soon, hopefully...I am just overcome with anticipation. However, I am so happy for all of you. I'm buggin though: How long does the declaratory order process actually take? I have to get documents from California, but I hope that won't hinder my chances.....

You guys and your high scores have me SUPER jealous, by the way... Just kidding...Even though I don't know you all, I am proud of y'all.....It takes hard work and perseverance to come where we are, so you guys rock!!! At my previous institution in Vegas, my old classmates won't be able to apply until Next year, so congratulate yourselves on a job well done
