Hello,

Is anyone applying to HCC for the upcoming fall semester? I just recently turned in my application.

Congrats! Which time did you sign up for? I am in the 9a-12p class.

I signed up for Fridays 9-12! Is that what you signed up for?? :-)

Yep! I am in the same class.

Ooops! Wasn't thinking straight. I am in the Thursday 9-12 class.

Oh no! Lol I thought I made me a class buddy! Either way, congrats!!!

Thanks! Same to you! I'm sure we'll meet the following semester.

Specializes in Inpatient Obstetrics.

Most likely you will. Our first class in the program, fundamentals in nursing, they had everyone in the program together. All 70 of us in one, well actually two classrooms that they opened into one, classroom.

FYI it may be 100-120 right now but pharm will REALLY weed out the weak students. So keep up with the reading and work!!

Hello All! My name is Natashia and I am registered in the Friday 9am-12pm class for pharmacology. I am wondering if anyone else has purchased their books for class that we can locate online at HCC student bookstore. I only see one package and two options for an online access aside of the package are these the only books we need if anyone knows? Any help is much appreciated thanks!

I am registered for the same class! :) I emailed professor Mosqueda and she told me we needed the Pharmacology bundle package with etext also an edose liscense. They are both available at the hcc west loop campus :)

That's Great! I was worried because I have seen so many threads listing up to 7 books, three of which are recommended such as dosing calculations. Originally I ordered them all from HCC bookstore although they are all on backorder. So I have rented the textbook and plan on purchasing the online access if it does not accompany the book. It is 50$ for online access w/o e-book which I don't find the relevance of w/ a print edition. Thanks for the west loop campus info I'll still need the edose license! I'm so excited. By any chance have you began the BON background check i'm confused if we are to wait until we receive full details the first day or start ourselves? Ha oh and if you need any blood work like the varicella titer there is a website that is contracted with LabCorps and does everything for Half the price! Just in case you need it's Personalabs.com

No I haven't started on the BON background. I wouldn't know how! Lol I'm just waiting till we get more info. Can't wait to start pharm this week! PS- my name is Mayra. See you in class!

We don't have to worry about the background check or anything else until once we're accepted into the program, although some of the shots take a while to get so if anyone hasn't stared them I would highly advise they do so

@Myra Thank you! I'm excited also, she said though that this Friday will be more of an informational orientation and advised we have no reading assignment this week. @Juan thanks also! I just have to get my varicella immunization and flu shot. To my understanding the most time consuming one is the Hep B over a span of six months. If I'm understanding correctly though you only need Three in your lifetime? If that's the case I'm good. Haha by the way my name is Natashia
