Houston Community College Fall 2013

I am. Its been very confusing to apply for Fall 2013. When I initially went in to talk to the counselor, she said that if you get above a 64 on the TEAS V and meet the requirements that you're basically in the program if you pass pharmacology. She also said that pharmacology no longer requires initial consent into the nursing program like previous years, but I just tried enrolling for summer 2013 and it won't let me till I get a consent. Guess they haven't changed it online yet. Just frustrates me because I don't want to lose a seat in a class. Its also extremely hard to get in touch with a counselor. I've been in twice already and they said they still haven't received one of my transcripts which I've sent in 4 times. Today is the deadline for Fall so I'm hoping they received everything already. When are we suppose to hear if we're accepted to the Fall 2013 program?

After you submitted your application, have you received any email from the department? I did not get ant email, so I email to the counselor to ask. She told me if I can't enroll pharmacology after April 1^st, I can contact the department. Last night, I tried to enroll this class, but the system showed that it needed the permission number. Does anyone have the same problem?? Who should I contact? Thanks.

Is anyone applying to HCC for the upcoming fall semester? I just recently turned in my application.

I called Coleman and they said that the policy has changed back to the original and now conditional acceptance is needed for the class. The nursing advisor finally emailed me back and said that they are still going through the applications and those that they initially accept will get a email or letter telling us when we can sign up for the class. She said that all the seats in the classes are saved for the people they select so we just have to wait. I think its pretty annoying that its 4 weeks before the summer class and we dont even know if we're almost in yet but thats all we can do. I find it impossible to talk to anyone on the phone and useless to go in cause they change their policies so often. I'll keep you posted if I get a email about it.

Has anyone heard anything yet? I had emailed an advisor on April 1st when I tried to register for pharmacology and they said to wait to hear from the nursing program about my permission code. I am still waiting.... I turned in everything to the advisor and she said I was done, is there something else I need to do? I just really don't want to miss out on the summer session of pharmacology because I am done with everything else. Tomorrow is my day off so I will call the nursing department, but I just wanted to try my luck here first.

Hello guys!! I'm currently an ADN student at HCC. Word of advise, they tend to be slower on the communicating part; it's rare to get info ahead of time. Our last day of class for spring was May 2 and we were still not informed about summer classes until the last day of spring semester. Just keep your heads up. :)

I have a question for anyone that can help. I got an email today stating that I have permission to take pharmacology in the summer if I am interested in taking it, does that mean that I was accepted? I have not received anything since I applied until today. Hope someone can help.

Yes I could, but the one I was in was the only evening course.
