I'm on my third week of my orientation on a med surg/tele unit currently and am really enjoying reading your updates. Please keep them coming!

How is it going? I'm starting on the same type of unit next week and am nervous, scared, and extremely excited lol

Derma, I had all of my prereqs completed as well and it really does make the course a lot lighter. Unfortunately you are not able to take courses from other semesters, and honestly I wouldn't want to anyway! The 2/3 classes a semester keep me extremely busy, especially with clinical thrown in. The semesters are divided by subject (Foundations, Med Surg I, Mental Health, Pedi/OB, Med Surg II) and completion of the semester with a 75 or higher is a prerequisite for the next semester.

For the ADN program.

Hello everyone! I recently got the email about orientation on july 19th. I was wondering if anyone has been through it before and what to expect? I have my shots and cpr done just waiting on my blue card from BON. Just wondering what all they do on day 1 od orientation and day 2. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone heard anything yet? I had emailed an advisor on April 1st when I tried to register for pharmacology and they said to wait to hear from the nursing program about my permission code. I am still waiting.... I turned in everything to the advisor and she said I was done, is there something else I need to do? I just really don't want to miss out on the summer session of pharmacology because I am done with everything else. Tomorrow is my day off so I will call the nursing department, but I just wanted to try my luck here first.

Hello, I am looking to apply for Fall 2012 as well, someone mentioned that you can take Pharm in the Summer, do you know how long the course is? One month or two, how many times a week, etc... I am finishing my last pre-reqs this semester APII, Micro, Speech, and Inter. Alg. MATH 0312 second start. I know that the deadline is April 1st, but don't know now if I will be able to apply since my math won't be finished yet. I will take my TEAS probably in late Feb or early March and would really like to be approved to take Pharm over the summer to start the ADN program in the Fall. Any help would be very appreciated!!
