Today we chose patients for tomorrow's clinical. Me and a fellow student at the nursing administration met a woman who was in ECC uniform.

Woman: "Are you third or fourth semester?"

We: "Oh, no. Second semester. And you?"

    Woman: "I am fourth semester."

We: "Wow, good job. You are so close to graduate. Good luck."

    Woman: " .............. I teach fourth semester."

We: "Oh......., sorry, we thought..... "

    Woman: " :roll "

We: " See you soon. Hopefully. "

HAHAHAHAHAHA Katie! That's hilarious!!!!!!!! hahahaha Too funny. I needed to laugh today hahaha

No, SIMbaby isn't a grade which takes a lot of pressure off. It just counts toward clinical hours.

    Katie...that's too funny.

It reminds me of my 1st day of English 1301 during winter-mester *almost* two years ago.

Anyway, the door was locked because I was early, and I was sitting at a desk outside the door. A boy comes up to me and says, "Are you the teacher?" :uhoh21:

Granted, the instructor wasn't too many years older than I was, but geeze....... :chuckle

Oh, Katie -- that is greatness. At least she laughed about it

Good luck on Test 2 this week!!!!
    I have made 88. :wink2:
I think this test was easier than the first one. I know that many classmates got A and some managed to fail it.
    Good luck you all.

This test appeared to be way easier than the first, but we did have some grades in the 70's. I got an 84... and I've survived to the next test!!

YAY! Katie and Brie!!!!! I'm so happy for you guys!!!!!!! Mine is tomorrow 0800

I went to a career fair today for nurses and I had to wear a little badge on which I wrote that I was a second semester nursing student at El Centro. With every booth I went to there was a recruiter in my face asking me TONS of questions and telling me all of the insider information on externships and internships. There were a few other local university students around but the recruiters didn't even talk to them. I got all sorts of cool stuff like tote bags and little toys here and there with all of the different hospitals' logo on them. They were very impressed with my El Centro background (and yes, I am including NL and THR!) where they weren't so quick to grab the university students. I guess we're going to have to pilfer through awesome offers! Even the lady who gave the seminar was thoroughly impressed that I went to El Centro. I guess they see so few of us hahaha. ALL of the local hospitals were there and they each spent some major time with me whereas they would just give a smile to the university students. I'm not saying I am better than the university students but I am wondering why they were SO impressed with El Centro...I was really amazed. It got me even more excited to graduate! And I got free bags which I LOVE! haha

    Wow....long post hahaha

Thank you. Good job Brie. And good luck Allison.

It was the same thing with the mock trial. I got there very early and I was one of the first few people there looking for coffee. So I was getting ready to drink it when a very nice lady started talking to me. After I told her that I was an ECC nursing student she wouldn't stop talking about their extern and internships. She was very professional and gave details about their programs for December 07 graduates. She even asked my GPA and other stuff. (They also had all the free stuff from different hospital representatives.)
