I too went to the jobfair at Methodist and was offered a position in PP/NN. My orientation starts Monday. There were a lot of people there and I feel so lucky to have been offered a position. I am going into my third semester at El Centro. I am "the friend" of sweetstil. Good Luck.

Hey!! I'll also be working PP/NN and I start June 11th Group 3. I need all of the dirt since you're starting before me..LOL!!! Do you know how many externs they hired for PP/NN? I am sooooo excited!!

I saw her hire three including myself, so i am not sure if you were one of the girls i saw. When i talked with her i thought i heard her mention she only needed 2-3 people. Who knows. I was hired pretty quickly, but hung around since i carpooled. I will be happy to share anything i manage to learn while I'm there. Look forward to meeting you!

Thank you Brie! Congrats to you too!

I want to know who got in the ER!!! They only had 2 positions open!!!!! And TONS of applicants!

Specializes in Operating Room.

If you are talking about Charlton, there are two at NLC that I think got ER Extern positions.

I was one of the last ones to interview with her. In fact, her last interview was a group one and neither of them were hired. The nurse manager's name is Pam right? I was so nervous that everything is still a blur! Anyways, what made me really want to work for her is when she told me that I wouldn't be doing PCT work, and that I would be transitioning into the role of a Nurse. I was soooo happy when she said that because the Nurse manager for L&D said that they first train you has a PCT, then the unit secretary. I only interviewed for L&D as a backup plan anyways. I've paid my dues already as a PCT and I'm so ready to upgrade! When I went to the offer table, Marilyn said that PP/NN is a great place to work and that she thinks I'll be very happy there. Hope to meet you soon!!
