El Centro Fall 2015

U.S.A. Texas

Hello All!! I know it is VERY early to be thinking about this but the process to get in takes quite a long time. I wanted to make a thread to help us all get through the application process together, share problems, feelings, etc. :)

I wish you good luck on your hesi

Hey guys, do I submit the application form in el centro after receiving confirmation from sentry or I can submit it anytime?

One more question, we only send the immunization, physical form, cpr to sentry right? So three forms.

and Is it better to fax or mail it?

I also took it with professor matter in the winter. I think we were in the same class and did not even realize it.

Yes i think so too :-) thanks!

Right! If I were you, I will email it to them as a pdf. As for your App, you only drop it off in elcentro, either by mailing or in person. Hope that helps!

Anyone who has dealt with sentrymd know how long it takes to process? I sent mine via email Monday and haven't heard anything. Also no one at the company will call me back. Getting anxious. Thanks

Hey! Have you heard from Sentry MD yet? I sent mine about 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything even after trying to reach them via email & phone.

Those who haven't taken the Hesi yet, stay calm and breathe. I took it for the first time last Friday and it was no where near as bad as I thought it would be! Although, the mistake I made was saving the reading comprehension section for last. By that point I was incredibly antsy and restless and could not stay focused AT ALL.

Time is ticking and I'm becoming more anxious for the deadline! I wish you all good luck! :)

I am applying for fall 2015 as well.. I was just informed of the sentry md thing so I am signing up with them tomorrow. I did a physical and tb test etc last July but I'm going ahead and redoing it with the doctor on Thursday so its newer and then uploading the info to sentry Thursday. I'm hoping that is enough time before the deadline. I completed the Hesi last summer and received a 87.2 overall with 94 in math, 84 in anatomy and 86 in reading etc. I'm leaving it where its at. I currently have 25 points i believe. Iv done both hprs classes, all the support courses and a couple of the bsn courses. I know its a long shot with 25 points, but hoping to be an alternate maybe. I'm still taking 3 BSN courses in the spring so if I don't get in for fall, I will have 28 points for spring. Does El centro do a interview as part of their application process at all? Good Luck ladies!

How was the hesi? Was it difficult?

How was the hesi? Was it difficult?

Hesi wasn't too bad. I just took it last Friday and I was worried. As long as you feel comfortable with what you know I think you'll be okay. I studied for a week straight refreshing information over A&P and math. A&P was general knowledge, but questions literally bounced from systems to tissues to joints. The questions were just everywhere. The A&P portion of The evolve study guide does not provide enough information to study for this section.

My cumulative score was a 90%

A&P 88%

Math 98%

Grammar 90%

Vocabulary 90%

Reading comprehension 84% (funny because reading is usually my stronger subject)

I am curious about this question too. I would say no since there is no points for this section. MVC and Brookhaven has 10 points for interview and 5 points for written sample. Good luck to gentlemen too!
