Nashville State CC Nursing Program Fall 2012

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

just wanted to start a thread for those who just applied for the fall. last year's seemed successful.

i turned in my app back in february. i've heard that interview letters will go out this month. anybody else have any info? i work with one of the instructors for the program. this is her first time helping with the app process, so she was unsure of details.

thanks! best of luck to everyone!

Lol mine is too!

i dont see any nursing classes listed under nscc dynamic schedule for fall 2012. once you get accepted how do you register for classes?

They will give us our schedules and then I believe they actually go in and put our classes in. We will findo ut our schedules later in the summer I think.

around august 4th is when last years class could see their schedule under NSCC

Hopefully, we won't have as much trouble as they did last year! Maybe they've got some of the kinks sorted out!! Hope so! I'm excited though... Anxious to get paperwork/meeting and getting stuff done & prepared! :-)

I just got back a form I needed for work (scholarship application), that NSCC had to fill out and it shows we will have 9 credits in the fall and 13 credits in the spring, but they did not fill out the fees and books section. The fees and books is what I really want the scholarship for, I know the books are not cheap. Arrrgh......will continue to wait for my packet of info. so can move forward. In the mean time, I am taking nutrition and sociology this summer to keep me busy.

Are there scholarships available for nursing students through NSCC? They were saying last year their fees before school started were like $1200, & their FA hadn't hit yet or anything! Yikes!

i didnt see any classes listed for pre reqs like anatomy and microbiology either

A&P is listed under Bio. Nursing classes aren't on there probably.

I just talked to ***** & she said packets will be mailed next week probably. :-)

my scholarship is thru work

Oh, awesome!! :-) hope you get it!

... I know, all those background checks, etc are expesive when you add them up....

books can be charged to your fin aid - I heard that the health dept covered immunizations for students although my health insurance covered them, this may be an option for those who do not have health ins. Just a thought
