I live in Kingsport, TN. Does anyone know where I could get LPN training closest to me? Thank you.

Maybe that will help. I don't know where Kingsport is.

Thank you so much, there was school not far from me listed at the link you gave me. God Bless and good luck!

The closest school to the Tri Cities for L.P.N.s is in Elizabethton, TN. It is Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton and just finished a class in Kingsport. The Elizabethton school is one of 26 Tenn. Technology Centers in Tennessee. It is an excellent school but tough. A new night class started Jan 5th. The next day class will start in April of 2004 and another in Oct of 2004. If you want to stay in Kingsport rather than traveling to Elizabethton there is a plan to begin a class there but the start date has not been announced and it will fill very quickly. You need to put in an application ASAP. The phone number to get info is (423)543-0070.

The school has an excellent pass rate and reputation throughout the state.

Good Luck!

Here's the website:

http://www.elizabethton.tec.tn.us

http://www.tbr.state.tn.us/vo_tec_ed/ttc_list.htm (this is a list of all of them)

You'll probably have to go in person to apply.

The applications for Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton can be picked up at the Main Campus in Elizabethton. The telephone number for information is 423-543-0070. The applications are only handed out for a few weeks and then applications are held until those applying have been tested for the Nures Entrance Exam. The school has review books for the exam that can be studied before taking the test. If the student needs help in math or english skills they also have a Basic Skills class. It's a tough program but a very good one.
