guess what?Iwork in a geri/psysh unit and we just got new beds...yep,YOU guessed it,,,,they are the kind that you have to hand crank . we could not believe it.but what do you expect,,,it only took us a year to get beds with siderails.,,

500$$ for CNA.training.?Find a nursing home..they offer classes all the time,.the classes last for app.2 weeks.sometimes you do not have to pay anything if you are willing to work for them after you pass the class and take your cna test.even if you decide not to work for them it is still awholl lot cheaper!!GOOD LUCK!

heres one..we had a pt. that had had a stuffed dog .she would sleepwith. one day the Dr.asked her how she was ,,""she said ,,i didnot sleep at all last night,my dog kept me awake all night,barking". we cracked up ,,,in fact she had slept like alog that night.

I would go with job B, you say you are anew grad? Ithink you would be wise to work in ahospital first and get some experiance under your belt before taking on a charge position in anursing home.YOU are the ONE that is responsible for the entire 273 pts.Yes there are Lpns in the building also that are charge nurses BUT when something goes wrong with a pt.YOU are responsible also.Its not a ''pie'' job.

We seem to be tops with C-diff. We get lots of it (it seems) and believe me, if you have ever smelled it, you never forget it. Doesn't take a laboratory to diagnose it. Also, c-diff usually has a mucous appearance.

yES THEY DO BACKGROUND CHECKS .. I DONOT KNOW how far back they go though.

try Elizabeton tech.school.. I graduated from there .It has agood lpn program ...and has a very good reputation.also try JC.Med.Center THEY do hire''pct''to work in L&D.I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I WORKED THERE AS A''PCT'' while going to nsg.school . Good Luck!

It is a christian based school ..my daugther has a friend who graduated from there .thats all i really know about it ...sorry
