anyone know what the charting system is in the ED at UT Medical Center? Ie: Paper, electronic charting (which one), etc...

Still mostly paper, some minimal computer charting, ie triage.

Really? A trauma hospital like that is still mostly paper?

The rest of the hospital is computer. I dont work ED..but from what I've seen it's mostly paper. Not too sure with the traumas themselves in the ED. I would think things move too fast in the ED to be computer charting..no?

no no no no no. computer charting is way faster in traumas, at least in my experience. i have to see a form of paper charting that can match the speed of a good electronic chart

Which hospital are you even talking about? I'm a student at UTHSC and there is no UT Medical Center. Unless you are talking about Methodist University Hospital?

Could be that they are talking about UT Medical Center in Knoxville.
