Taking the TEAS first?

I am trying to get into a 2017 program. All I need is a decent TEAS score and 3 more prerequisites by the Spring. I'll be taking the TEAS before and during AP1. Do you need to know AP abd Chem prior to the TEAS?

I don't think you need to take AP1 and chem before taking the test. I took the test in January, and found the science questions to be very general, and likely covered in high school science classes. I would just give yourself a bit more time to prepare and get the ATI book to review. It goes through all the content and has practice tests. Good luck!

I just took it two weeks ago. You will need to know basic information about AP and Chem. All the content you would need to know is located in the ATI TEAS Nursing book. Also remember when buying one, that the 6th version of this test is coming out in August so you will need the new version of the practice book.

6th can use a calc I heard. Bit excited about that and bit afraid ha. I just dropped out of my pre req class of precalc for a BSN program, brutal.

Which TEAS will you take? When the TEAS changes in August, there's going to be a ton more A+P. If you take the TEAS now, the A+P is more general and only about 7 percent of the test. On the new version of the TEAS, anatomy is about 21 percent of the test and more detailed--but there's less chem at least!
