Average TEAS V Score? Your score?

Nursing Students TEAS

Took the TEAS V. I got a 78.

I thought oh, no. That's awful. I hadn't studied a lick, so it's better than I'd expected...for not knowing what to expect.

When I told the admissions office I got a 78, they're jaws nearly hit the floor. Apparently, the average score at my campus is between 50 and 54.

Have you guys found the same to be true? How'd you do?

What school takes 64? Are you going for your BSN?

I just took my TEAS yesterday. When I finished, the proctor's assistant came up to me and said, "You got an overall of 86%!" She acted as if it was a big deal. I said "That's great" and I was thinking, a B, great. Well when I looked up the results, nationally that's in the 97th percentile. First I took the practice exam in the study manual, then I read the study manual and took the 2 practice exams offered online. And I did horribly on those exams but it gave me some focus. I also read the study suggestions posted here by rainbowvahmet Thanks!

All my BSN schools require 80% and above to be deemed competitive =/

the average accepted score was around 85%.....

79.3 but im going to retake and hopefully score at the very least 85

For the school I'm applying to, it says the average score to receive an interview is 80-84. I studied for 2 weeks on and off, and one week everyday for a few hours. Overall I got 88%. I felt reading and math were very straight forward, but thought for sure science and english killed me. I did better then I was expecting while taking the test. I used the ATI study guide and online practice tests and some youtube videos to help with math.

Got a 94.7%...I thought the ATI workbook and the online practice assessment were really useful! Good Luck!

Mean - Program:64.9%

Percentile Rank - National: 83

Percentile Rank - Program: 84

I'm not too dissatisfied with this since I didn't have too much time to prepare, I worked three 12 hour shifts the three days before taking this (my last shift ending at 11:15pm the night before my 8:00am test, and the construction (with jackhammers) they were doing in the same building that my test was taken in. Hehe. I am within the ranking needed for the ADN program at my school, so I'm hoping and praying for an acceptance letter in the spring! I'm almost finished with all of my prerequisites as well. I'm taking microbiology this semester (have a B so far), and then statistics and chemistry in the spring.

Just took the TEAS V today and got 88%. So relieved!

My adjusted individual score was 95.3% and I found the ATI practice test to be very helpful. Additionally, check out this link http://www.trctc.commnet.edu/Div_StudentServices/admissions/documents/TEAS-Vsummarypacket.pdf to know the kinds of questions you can expect to have on the test. I studied lots of extraneous stuff from old test prep materials and would have liked to have this list before test day!

WOW!! This is very helpful, thank you. Congrats on your score!

I got 93% overall on TEAS and 92%, I ranked in the top 1% nationally in all subjects except English Grammar, I scored in top 6% on that one. I had similar results on HESI. I ordered lowest cost highest rated practice books ,with explanations, on Amazon, and took one practice test in each a few weeks before the tests to familiarize myself with the format and question types. I scored in mid 80s on the practices. If anyone has questions regarding the science or math section I may be able to help.

How did you study for the science and math portion they seem the most difficult?
