no GRE for CRNA school

Hi, i have been searching online and I can not find any school that do not require the GRE, does anyone know of any CRNA schools that do not requrie GRE?

There are a good number of them that do not require the GRE if you have a certain GPA. UPENN, Our Lady of Lourdes, and University at Buffalo are justa few off the top of my head. Got to the AANA website for the list of schools and check out the websites you are interested in. Hope this helps.

That will be doubtful since all CRNA programs are at least Masters Programs. Masters programs in general require sitting for the GRE.

I have a friend attending Georgetown this fall for their CRNA program, and he applied while he was a junior in nursing school, for their special early admit program, and he did not need to take the GRE - he just had to interview, and work 1 year of critical care. However, if you apply for their program regularly, then you need the GRE. I do not know of any other programs that don't require the GRE, but if you study for it, the GRE isn't a terrible test! :)

There actually are plenty of schools available that do not require the GRE. I researched many many many schools and found a good handful! The GRE is really not all that bad though...Best of luck to you!

I'm studying for the GRE now myself. I think you should just take it. It doesn't seem that bad.

I'm in the same boat, came to my good senses and decided to knock out the GRE. I guess its a step backwards considering that I'm already in a masters program (trying to increase my GPA for CRNA school). I decided to take one class untill I get the score I really want on the GRE. I simply hate standardized tests, no point in denying that. But we have to do what we don't want to do sometimes. Happy studying.

I just applied to a graduate program also, I'm trying to decide which courses to take, which one's are you taking.

Foxyhill21- I'm currently taking an online pharm class. I have completed the following classes so far: Advance patho, ADv. nsg research, role development, theory, and health assessment. I started working on my MSN before I begun pursueing my dreams of being a CRNA. It has also helped to boost my GPA. I would suggest taking all the core classes mentioned above to get a feel for what its like to do grad work. I love the independent studying and learning aspect, nothing like undergrad, can't even compare. Hope this helps, have a blessed one.

Just looking at the various CRNA schools websites, at least one-quarter of the schools do not require the GRE (or will waive it for those with a prior master's degree).
