  1. Had my interview today. Went great. They complimented on how well spoken I was. Keep praying and trusting it will come to pass one way or another.
  2. Got an interview today 5/5/11 !
  3. Get to know you type of interview.
  4. A good friend of mine is in the program. Also if you have attended a preview day alot of info is given out then. But if you are really gun hoe you can call up the director and ask what they look for. I would recommend this especially if you dont get an interview. At any school for that matter.
  5. I know they like Certs. Gradute classes. And community service. Also a well rounded Icu experience will help. Stay prayerful. Your time will come.
  6. Hope all your stuff is in, the earlier the better with Union, trust me! I would stay on her till you get a confirmation.
  7. I'm in the same boat, I had to resubmit some stuff since my application was rolled over from the previous year.
  8. They mailed it, which was not till Feb. I guess they wait till they interview.
  9. I just found out today via email that I was offered an interview. Better then the flat out rejection I got last year. Hope for the best!
  10. If you check your email today, you might have good news. I have an interview offer for Uof Maryland. Thank heavens since It is my second year applying, last year I got flat out rejected, no interview, no nothing LOL. Hope to hear more good news from others.
  11. As of today. I'm still waiting to hear yay or nay. Anyone get letters yet? I wish they sent us an email first...think mine got lost. :mad:Wish everyone the best no matter the outcome.
  12. Interviewing is definitly a learned skill. I would spend more time learning about the mechanics of interviewing versus some ramdom questions that you have no control over. All in all it's just a game and you need to have it beat it.
  13. Since you already have a year with adults, getting into school with "current" peds experience should not be a problem. If you want to get your CCRN, best to start studying for that now since it will be fresh. Peds is a whole other ball game and you will need to focus on that. You need to contact each school you want to attend and figure out if they will take PICU. Have fun working with the kidos, atleast you will be comfortable with them by the time you go to school.FYI: highly recommend the having the CCRN before you apply, trust me.
